As a part of this mission, Tecnopool also backs the Corporate Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) program of major airlines. These partnerships reflect Tecnopool’s core values and emphasizes its dedication to a greener future. Although travel is essential for trade events, client meetings installations and aftersales services, the company is dedicated to lessening the carbon footprint associated with these activities. By considering virtual meeting alternatives and utilizing eco-conscious transportation, we are actively working to reduce the environmental impact of our activities.
Corporate SAF programs, specifically designed for corporate clients, enables companies to calculate the CO2 emissions associated with their travels and decide on an annual donation to contribute to the program. All funds contributed by airlines are directed towards supporting the creation and use of sustainable aviation fuel. This fuel is made from waste oils, forest residues, and other recyclable materials, resulting in a reduction of o to 80% in Co2 emissions when compared to traditional fossil fuels.
In 2023, Tecnopool contributed to the Air France KLM Corporate SAF program, enabling the procurement of a sustainable volume of aviation fuel equivalent to 5 tons. This sustainable fuel led to an 75% reduction in carbon emissions, in contrast to standard fossil kerosene. As a result, Tecnopool has diminished its Co2 emissions by 10.8 tons.
